Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University is bringing together the resistance, determination, and memory of a nation through art with the 2nd National Invitational Poster Exhibition, "The Name of Victory: Turkey," as part of the July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day events. All preparations for the exhibition, which will be held in the BAİBÜ Cultural Center Exhibition Hall, have been completed.
This meaningful exhibition aims to make visible the torch of independence lit against the darkness of the night of July 15th through graphic design. The exhibition features a total of 58 posters created specifically for this exhibition by renowned artists, designers, and academics from various universities in Turkey. Each embodying the spirit of July 15th, these works present the audience with different interpretations of themes of national unity, freedom, loyalty to the martyrs, and democracy.
The exhibition's installation was a meticulous collective effort. The technical team from the Department of Health, Culture, and Sports handled the entire process with great dedication, from the physical layout of the exhibition hall to its technical infrastructure. At the same time, students from the Faculty of Fine Arts' Graphic Design Department contributed their creativity and dedication to this project, taking active roles not only in the poster designs but also in many stages of the exhibition's layout, presentation, and visual language.
Academic consulting and curatorial planning were meticulously carried out throughout the preparation process. This exhibition, which combines art with fidelity, aesthetics with memory, offers a successful example of how individual talents can transform into a powerful collective memory in pursuit of a common goal.
The "Name of Victory: Turkey" exhibition is not merely an artistic event; it is also a powerful expression of respect for a nation's struggle for existence and of devotion to the memory of an unforgettable night.
We invite all our students, academic and administrative staff, art lovers, and the public to this meaningful exhibition, which will open on July 15th. We invite you to experience together the pride of meeting in a shared memory and with a shared spirit.
