Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Becomes a Stakeholder in a TÜBİTAK-Supported Project! "Cinematographic Atlas of Istanbul"
Our University has also become a stakeholder in the TÜBİTAK-supported project in which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Emre ÖKMEN, a faculty member of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, took part as a researcher!

Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University is a stakeholder in an important project implemented by Sakarya University and supported by the TÜBİTAK 3501 program. The project titled "Analysis of Istanbul in Films with Cinematic Cartography in the Context of Cinema and City Relationship", implemented by Sakarya University Faculty of Communication Assistant Professor Ayşe Gül Toprak Ökmen, will examine the cinematic geography of Istanbul and deeply analyze the spatial use and periodic meanings of the city in Turkish Cinema. The project, which is at the intersection of fields such as cinema, city, geography and cultural studies, aims to visualize the spatial transformation of the city with digital maps by combining Istanbul's historical and cultural riches with cinematic images in films.
Significant Contribution to the Project from Our Faculty of Communication
Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University will make a significant contribution to the field of cinema and urban studies by providing partnership in this project. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yunus Emre Ökmen from our Faculty of Communication is also taking part in the project as a researcher. Researchers from different universities and international consultants also play important roles in the project. Trabzon University is another stakeholder, while Oxford Brookes University provides consultancy support. Our university's contribution to the project will strengthen interuniversity cooperation and support scientific progress in interdisciplinary studies. This cooperation will contribute to the deepening of academic studies and the emergence of innovative research opportunities at the intersection of different disciplines.
