Graduation Certificate Process

Graduation (Diploma) Certificate Processing Processes
• Graduation (Diploma) certificate is a type of document that shows that the student who successfully completes the curriculum of our undergraduate programs is entitled to graduate.
• It contains information about the student's graduation.
• It may be requested in the application procedures to the relevant institution or organization by the student, and it is an official document.
• In order to be entitled to the certificate, certain obligations must be met. These obligations are;
a) The course load taken and successfully completed in each semester of the undergraduate program curriculum must be at least 30 / 32 ECTS (in curriculum plans that include the Career Planning course, the total ECTS value of the 1st semester courses is 32),
b) The total of the eight semesters of the undergraduate program must reach 240 / 242 ECTS, and the general weighted grade point average must be 2.00 or above,
c) All courses within the scope of the optionally registered pedagogical formation education program must be taken and successfully completed (9 courses / 40 ECTS).
• The document requirements check should be done by each student with graduation potential via the UBYS transcript application, and in case of problems, the advisor should be contacted.
In the recommended transcript check process, which is done by taking the student's education plan as reference;
• Compulsory and elective courses have been completed,
• There are no absences or failure grades in these courses,
• The total ECTS of the elective courses in the semester in which the elective course pool is located is equal to the total ECTS value of the elective course pool in that semester,
• The total ECTS of the compulsory/elective courses taken and successfully completed in each semester is equal to 30 / *32 ECTS (* In the curriculum plans that include the Career Planning course, the total ECTS value of the 1st semester courses is 32),
• The total ECTS of all courses in the eight semesters reaches 240 / *242 ECTS (* In the curriculum plans that include the Career Planning course, the total ECTS value of the courses taken in all semesters is 242),
• The general weighted grade point average (CGPA) is at least 2.00,
• It must be ensured that all courses in the optional pedagogical formation education program have been taken and successfully completed. (A student who cannot complete the formation training courses and whose formation program registration is "active" will not be granted graduation.)
• Extra courses taken/completed in any semester exceeding 30 ECTS do not make up for the course load deficiency remaining below 30 ECTS in a different semester. (For example; 10 ECTS, which is the excess of 40 ECTS taken and completed in the fifth semester, does not make up for the deficiency of 10 ECTS in the seventh semester where there are 20 ECTS.) Students in this situation are not included in the graduate candidate list obtained through UBYS.
DOCUMENT PROCESS PROCESS
• The processes regarding the determination, listing, proposal and finalization of students who are entitled to receive the document are carried out by our faculty. At the end of each exam activity (final, make-up, odd-even, maximum end-of-study exam) held at the end of the active education semester, the list of graduate candidates obtained from the UBYS database is finalized by the decision of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Board of Directors and is forwarded to the BAİBÜ Student Affairs Department within three weeks at the latest.
• The processes related to the preparation, printing, approval with secure electronic signature, delivery and initiation of the student's departure procedures are carried out by the BAİBÜ Student Affairs Department.
• The evaluation and e-approval process for the departure procedures are carried out by the representatives of our faculty and the officer of the BAİBÜ Student Affairs, Health, Culture and Sports, Library and Documentation Departments. The system message regarding this process carried out via UBYS is sent to the student's corporate e-mail address. It can also be monitored from the student's UBYS application. (UBYS / STUDENT SYSTEM / Student Information Screen / Other / History Information)
• The departure procedure of a student who has not fulfilled his/her financial and legal obligations to our institution will not be approved. (Those who have tuition debts, those who do not return books/documents/materials borrowed from our institution, etc.)
• Students who have no problems with their departure procedures are dismissed from our university, their graduation date is defined in UBYS, this data is transferred to the YÖKSİS database via UBYS, and then to the e-government application. Thus, the graduation certificate can be queried/produced/used from e-government.
• The diploma and its supplement are given free of charge within one month at the latest, starting from the graduation date. The student does not need to take any action during the above-mentioned procedures and before or after the presentation of the document. During the presentation; it is sufficient for the student or their notarized representative to be present at the BAİBÜ ÖİDB unit and to declare their identity card/citizenship ID card
