Surrounded by natural beauties between the two metropolises of Turkey, Ankara and Istanbul, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, one of the most distinguished universities in our country, was founded on July 3, 1992. Since then, our university has been rapidly developing and has campuses in Bolu city center and five districts (Gerede, Mengen, Mudurnu, Yeniçağa and Seben). The central campus of our university, İzzet Baysal Campus, is located in Gölköy, 8 km away from Bolu city center, surrounded by a unique natural beauty. Our university currently has 17 faculties, 1 institute, 1 college, 8 vocational colleges and 15 research centers. The 1,503 academic staff and 772 administrative staff working in these units of our university are proud to offer a quality and contemporary educational environment to approximately 30,976 students. Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University constitutes a third model as a foundation-supported state university in addition to state and foundation universities in our country. Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, a state university, has been supported by the foundation established by İzzet Baysal, one of Turkey's greatest philanthropists, since its establishment. In addition to the opportunities of our state, our University has reached a perfect physical structure and superior technological equipment in a short time with the facility and equipment investment of İzzet Baysal Foundation, which has a total value of 271 million liras as of 2017. The Foundation, which supports the international success of academics, also provides scholarship support to successful students. Interdisciplinary Doctorate Program in Communication Sciences is a Doctorate program carried out in the field of theory and practice in the field of communication sciences that provides a Doctorate Degree to candidates who have graduated from the higher programs of the field or different fields affiliated with the Graduate Education Institute of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University and who have met the application requirements. The teaching and learning staff of the Communication Sciences Doctorate Program consists of the academic staff of the dynamic and strong Faculty of Communication and well-equipped expert academicians in their fields. The program will provide positive contributions to both sectoral promotions in the fields of Journalism, Public Relations and Promotion, Radio, Television and Cinema, Visual Communication Design and to academic careers where educational and training services are offered in these interdisciplinary fields.
