The event, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selami Alan, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, was intensively attended by Gerede Faculty of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Altınöz, Faculty of Arts and Sciences students, and Faculty of Communication students.
The conference began with Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı briefly discussing the definition and history of artificial intelligence. Then, the topic of artificial intelligence in design, which was discussed at the BAİBÜİLEF-İG 1st International Digital Transformation and New Media Symposium held in May 2024, was shared with quotes and examples. The important outcome of this Symposium, which Tandırlı describes as “our first love”; the fact that the Proceedings Book of the BAİBÜİLEF-İG 2024 Symposium was read on the screen with a QR code and downloaded to the viewers’ mobile phones in PDF format, created both great excitement and happiness, and was also a first in terms of technological innovation. Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı stated that they prepared with excitement for the BAİBÜİLEF-İG 2025 2nd International Artificial Intelligence and Hypermedia Symposium, and that they produced all the visual design elements, as well as the brand background visual (landscape) in products such as posters, banners, square posts for social media, through Artificial Intelligence visual creation applications.
“It is possible to obtain effective and aesthetic results by entering the necessary, relevant and correct proms. Last year, we tried artificial intelligence while designing the launch visuals of BAİBÜİLEF-İG 2024, but we were unsuccessful. Again, as we are used to, we resorted to manual design. This time, we succeeded! And we got excellent results! Hopefully, we are also planning an exhibition on Bolu Abant through the eyes of artificial intelligence, consisting of these beautiful results,” said Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, who perhaps made a first by coming up with the idea of an exhibition produced by artificial intelligence.
Finally, Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı answered his questions. The conference ended with the presentation of a certificate of appreciation by moderator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selami Alan to Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, who invited the audience to the BAİBÜİLEF-İG 2025 2nd International Artificial Intelligence and New Media symposium, whose visual launch products were also produced by artificial intelligence and planned to be held at our University on May 12-13, 2025.
