Betül Tilki, a student at the Department of Journalism in the Faculty of Communication, has been awarded support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Student Research Projects Support Program with her project titled “A Quantitative Research to Determine the Perceptions of University Students’ Reluctance to Communicate”, which she prepared under the guidance of her advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuncay Erdem.

This project, which investigates the level, reasons, antecedents and sequels of the perceptions of communication reluctance among university students, aims to address the issue of communication reluctance, which has been studied limitedly in the literature, and to make an innovative contribution to communication studies in terms of offering a solution proposal to an important problem of young people.
