The 2nd International Artificial Intelligence and Hypermedia Symposium organized by Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University hosted important academic presentations. The “Neuromarketing, Neuropsychology and Artificial Intelligence” session held within the scope of the symposium addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on human behavior under different headings. The session was moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuncay Erdem.

In the first presentation held between 10:00-10:30, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Banu Barış and Hilal Süt explained the subject of “Use of Artificial Intelligence in Cartoons in Terms of Persuasive Communication: The Jetsons and Rafadan Tayfa Cartoons.” The presentation evaluated how artificial intelligence is used in communication through cartoons. Popular productions such as The Jetsons and Rafadan Tayfa were analyzed within the framework of Cialdini’s principles of persuasion, drawing attention to their effects on child audiences in particular. It was emphasized how artificial intelligence is positioned as a persuasion tool in the transmission of messages.
Gizem Çalışkan made her presentation titled “The Impact of Data on User Behavior and Data Economy” between 10:35-10:40. In the presentation, the collection and processing of user data within the framework of the concept of digital marketing and the relationship of this data with the economy were evaluated. In addition, how data shapes consumer behavior and the role of artificial intelligence in this process were discussed.
Ahmet Salih Şimşek made his presentation titled “Transformation of Information Acquisition Behaviors in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Study on Generation Z” between 10:40-11:00. Şimşek comparatively discussed how Generation Y and Z use artificial intelligence in accessing information. In the presentation, the closeness of Generation Z to technology, their habits in accessing information and the impact of artificial intelligence in this process were especially emphasized. In addition, the risks brought by artificial intelligence, personal data security and privacy issues were emphasized, and the importance of awareness in this area was expressed.
The session gave attendees a comprehensive look at the impact of AI in areas such as communication, marketing and information acquisition.
