The session titled “Design and Artificial Intelligence on Online Platforms” held within the scope of the 2nd International Artificial Intelligence and Hypermedia Symposium fascinated the audience with its content that captured the spirit of the age and its visionary speakers. This qualified meeting consisting of 6 presentations offered a creative and thought-provoking platform where artificial intelligence and design intersect.

Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, Res. Asst. Rıfkı Ünal, Dilek İstanbullu, Elmas Özer and Gül Gizem Aytekin, who moderated the session, successfully managed the process and provided the audience with a dynamic and interactive experience.
In the first presentation of the day, Dr. Ezgi Saatçioğlu addressed the digitalized museum experience in the context of hypermedia, impressively revealing the transformative power of museum websites on experiential marketing.
Res. Asst. Buse Koca questioned the effects of artificial intelligence on individual creativity via the popular productivity platform Notion AI; Dr. Lecturer Member Gülce Dölkeleş examined Refik Anadol’s “Machine Hallucinations: Nature” series inspired by nature with a visual analysis focusing on the relationship between artificial intelligence and aesthetics.
Design and Artificial Intelligence Meet: The Session Shaping the Future
Prof. Barış Atiker, one of the pioneers of the field of visual communication, carried the participants to the near future by discussing the future of the moving image shaped by artificial intelligence. Then, Assoc. Prof. Melis Boyacı took the floor and demonstrated with powerful examples how the post-digital age has brought new forms of perception to artificial intelligence art.
At the end of the session, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Mayda and PhD candidate Özgün Çağlar Berkit meticulously examined the possibilities of artificial intelligence interaction within the design-oriented thinking methodology and presented a highly intellectually profound discussion.
This session not only discussed the relationship between artificial intelligence and design; it also offered an interdisciplinary inspiration wave to the participants. Drawing a strong vision of the future on the axis of new media, visual communication, digital art and technology, this session was etched in memories as one of the most striking moments of the symposium.
