The Faculty of Communication at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University has added a new approach to its ongoing efforts to strengthen its commitment to quality. The "Student Counseling Training," organized by our faculty's Training of Trainers Committee, was successfully held on August 27, 2025, using a hybrid (in-person and online synchronous) method.
The training program achieved international significance with the participation of not only our professors from Turkey but also academics conducting their research in Europe. Thus, our faculty bridged the gap and brought the culture of quality to every corner of the world.
The program began with an opening presentation by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı. Following this, Res. Asst. Sadullah M. Bağ addressed critical points to consider in counseling processes in detail. Participants shared the latest information and practices regarding student counseling, contributing to the process's efficiency.
All presentations and discussions throughout the training were recorded via Microsoft Teams. In this respect, education has provided significant benefits not only in terms of instantaneous sharing but also in terms of sustainable knowledge production.
As the Student-Centered Faculty of our Student-Centered University, we aim to provide the highest level of advising support our students need throughout their academic journeys. The importance we place on student advising is one of the fundamental foundations of our faculty's exemplary standing.
With its regular Train the Trainer programs, our Faculty of Communication has made quality not merely a goal but a living culture. For us, quality is not a standard; it is a faculty identity that is constantly evolving, stands out at every stage, and is defined as "quality by another name."
Such activities strengthen the advising competencies of our academics and ensure that our students receive the most appropriate guidance throughout their academic careers.
