The Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Communication at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, decided on the distribution of courses and faculty members for the 2025–2026 Academic Year's first and second years (second and fourth semesters) at the Extended Department Council meeting held on December 3, 2025. The meeting, chaired by Department Head Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, was attended by all academic and administrative staff.

The meeting aimed to assign courses to faculty members based on their respective areas of expertise, based on the previously updated eight-semester curriculum, to ensure a sustainable curriculum and to ensure its implementation in accordance with quality management principles.

The council made important decisions regarding the academic functioning of the department, including the appointment of the instructors of compulsory and elective courses for both the Fall and Spring semesters. During the meeting, it was decided that the second semester courses, Art History II, would be taught by Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, Typography by Mahmut Rıfkı Ünal, and Communication Psychology by Assoc. Prof. Dr. It was decided that the fourth-semester elective courses, Popular Culture and Media and Intercultural Communication, would not be offered in the 2025–2026 Spring semester.

With these decisions, the Visual Communication Design Department aims to strengthen program integrity and ensure students have access to quality academic content tailored to their areas of expertise. The department administration stated that this distribution may be updated at future board meetings if deemed necessary.
