In our faculty, the planning process for the 2025-2026 Academic Year Fall Semester final exams was completed with a holistic approach centered on institutional quality. The regular planning meeting held within the faculty once again demonstrated that exam processes are not merely a matter of scheduling, but are addressed on the basis of predictability, transparency, and student-centeredness.

The meeting, coordinated by the Faculty of Communication Exam Schedule Preparation Committee, aimed to ensure that the exam week is conducted in a regular, balanced, and sustainable manner for both students and academic staff. With the decisions made in this direction, the final exam process was established within a strong institutional planning framework.

MEETING MINUTES FORM 16 12 2026

Among the key decisions made at the meeting were: taking into account the university's general exam calendar, faculty final exams should not be scheduled after 16:00, and exams for courses with 30 or fewer students should be held in their own classrooms and during regular class hours. This approach was considered a significant quality indicator in terms of maintaining spatial continuity and academic comfort in the examination environment.

On the other hand, special arrangements regarding the examination processes for convicted students in correctional institutions were also meticulously addressed. In this context, it was decided that examination dates and times would be determined with certainty, the examination schedule would be communicated to the relevant institutions at least 15 days in advance, and announced on the university's official website. Thus, the principles of equality, accessibility, and institutional responsibility in the examination processes were strengthened.

The meeting also emphasized that any possible changes to the examination schedule could only be made in exceptional circumstances and with the Dean's approval. It was decided that approved changes would be updated and re-announced with signatures and approvals, ensuring transparency and institutional discipline in the examination process.

With this planning process, the Faculty of Communication has transformed the examination week from a manageable calendar into an academic process where quality assurance is embodied. These efforts, led by the faculty administration, have once again demonstrated that the concept of "quality" is not merely a goal but a natural part of daily academic practice at the Faculty of Communication.
