In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Karadal touched upon the fundamental components of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, stating that the coordinated action of universities, public institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations is indispensable for sustainable entrepreneurship. He noted that this structure contributes not only to economic development but also to social transformation and the spread of innovative thinking.

Prof. Dr. Karadal pointed out that the young population, academic knowledge base, and strategic location of the TRNC can be transformed into significant opportunities through proper planning and effective collaborations. He particularly emphasized the role of universities in the entrepreneurship ecosystem, stating that transferring academic knowledge to the field, introducing students to entrepreneurship at an early stage, and supporting applied studies are critically important.

In his speech, Karadal also stated that local and international collaborations should be strengthened, emphasizing that entrepreneurs should be supported not only at the idea stage but also in accessing finance, mentorship, and connecting with investment networks. He concluded that a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem can only be built through a shared vision, trust-based relationships, and continuous collaborations.

The panel provided a platform for discussing strategic steps that can be taken in the field of entrepreneurship in the TRNC, while also offering a productive environment for sharing information, transferring experiences, and developing new collaborations. The event once again highlighted the importance of a shared vision and collective production approach in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Our faculty, which prioritizes social contribution through scientific events, panels, and academic productions, continues to maintain an academic approach that brings knowledge production to the field, closely monitors current developments, and shapes the future through such organizations. The panel, realized with the visionary contributions of Prof. Dr. Himmet Karadal, was a strong reflection of this approach.
