The 13th Regional Director of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Civil Engineer Dr. Yavuz Yegin, paid a courtesy visit to our Dean, Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı.

During the meeting, the Faculty of Communication's integrated education vision with Bolu province, focusing on both public and private sectors, was discussed. Examples shared included the in-service training programs conducted by our Faculty for the Bolu Governorship and its affiliated institutions, focusing on healthy communication with citizens, effective communication, interpersonal communication, and corporate communication; communication training for Bolu AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency); and awareness seminars on important contemporary issues such as social media addiction and digital addiction.

A preliminary protocol meeting was held to discuss evaluating the Faculty's academic expertise and practical capacity in areas such as interpersonal communication breakdowns, digital addiction, and the impact of social media use on corporate communication, in addition to the advantages provided by technological advancements, for potential training seminars for the personnel of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure's Bolu Regional Directorate.

Within this framework, the first step towards implementing in-service training for public personnel and enabling our students to benefit from internship and practical training opportunities in public institutions was taken with the cooperation protocol planned to be signed between the Faculty of Communication and the Bolu Provincial Directorate of Transportation and Infrastructure.

The visit was extremely productive in terms of strengthening the integration of education, practice, and public administration, increasing university-sector-public cooperation, and providing academic contributions to Bolu's institutional communication capacity.

At the end of the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, expressed his gratitude and satisfaction to the 13th Regional Director of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Civil Engineer Dr. Yavuz Yegin, for their kind visit.
