In the meeting chaired by the Commission President Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı, in the context of the situation that occurred after the closure of evening education, improvement strategies in the processes such as the distribution of lesson hours, the merging of common courses of current evening education students, etc. and related plans to be handled under the coordination of the curriculum preparation commission were carried out and important decisions were made.

It did not go unnoticed that the commission is generally engaged in meticulous teamwork to ensure that the necessary steps are taken for students and faculty members to spend this academic year in the most efficient way.
Especially with the meeting held today, the curriculum preparation commission aims to meet the expectations of our faculty members and students to the maximum extent by demonstrating a strong, transparent and effective approach to communication.
The agenda of this important meeting held in the Communication Faculty Meeting Room;
1. Studies on determining and combining the common courses of the Journalism and Public Relations and Promotion Departments where the current evening education students are enrolled after the abolition of evening education,
2. Exchange of ideas on the applications to be made regarding the combination of evening education courses with the first education courses,
3. Exchange of ideas on the 1st year fall semester courses of the newly opened Visual Communication Design Department,
4. Presentation of the point reached in the studies conducted on the restriction situations, place and time determinations of the course instructors regarding the courses of the four departments of our faculty; Journalism, Public Relations and Promotion and Radio, Television and Cinema and Visual Communication Design Departments, by the general coordinator of the Course Program Preparation Commission,
5. Presentation of the studies conducted on the spreading of the courses approved by the University Administrative Board to half-hour periods before and after 09:00 as an action plan for the solution of the transportation problem, which is considered the most open to development within our University in the Student Satisfaction Surveys, and exchange of ideas on this matter. After the abolition of evening education, in accordance with the decisions taken by our Rectorate, Senate and Board of Directors, studies were discussed regarding the determination and merging of common courses of Journalism and Public Relations and Publicity Departments to which the current evening education students of our Faculty are enrolled. Following this article, an exchange of ideas was provided on the applications to be made regarding the merging of evening education courses with first education courses and possible solutions were emphasized regarding this; Among these solutions; “when the evening education courses start, obtaining the consent of the students during the course and their signed approval, and blending the relevant course with the first education equivalent course” stands out. Again, regarding this merging, the process follow-up in the sense of “reducing two separate faculty members into one” that would normally be encountered during the merging of a course such as Communication etc. which is a common course of Journalism and Public Relations and Publicity departments was discussed. At this point, it was foreseen that the courses would not be merged if both faculty members abstained. On the other hand, an exchange of ideas was provided regarding the 1st year fall semester courses of the newly opened Visual Communication Design Department. The four departments of our Faculty; The process of preparing a coordinated program regarding the courses of the Departments of Journalism, Public Relations and Publicity and Radio Television and Cinema and Visual Communication Design was discussed. In this context, for example, the determination of the curative status of the relevant course faculty members by the relevant department officer of the course program preparation committee was discussed. In addition, the point reached in the studies carried out for the determination of the place and time of the courses was presented in the form of excel files projected on the screen by the general coordinator of the Course Program Preparation Committee. The presentation of the studies carried out regarding the spreading of the courses approved by the University Board of Directors to half-hour periods before and after 09:00 as an action plan for the solution of the transportation problem, which is accepted as the most open to development within our University in the Student Satisfaction Surveys, and the exchange of ideas regarding this were provided. Accordingly, it was decided to spread the courses in a balanced manner as 09:00 and 10:00 in general. The meeting ended with wishes and expectations regarding the current processes in general.
