The 2025-2026 Fall Semester Introduction and Orientation Program, designed to welcome new students to the Faculty of Communication, is starting with a packed schedule. The series of events, organized for all departments of our faculty, aims to facilitate our students' adaptation to university life, provide a closer look at the opportunities our faculty offers, and foster close interaction with our faculty and students.
The program will begin with the Journalism Department Orientation on Tuesday, September 30th at 2:00 PM. This first meeting, held in the Faculty of Communication/Faculty of Agriculture's First Floor Conference Hall, will include an introduction to the department, information about the faculty and university's facilities, and a brief information about student rights.
The Workshop Meeting, to be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 4:00 PM in the Communication Workshop, will provide students with a closer look at our faculty's practice areas and the opportunity to ask questions of our faculty members.
On Thursday, October 2nd, the Radio, Television and Cinema Department Orientation will take place at 11:00 a.m., followed by the Public Relations and Publicity Department Orientation at 2:00 p.m., also in the 1st Floor Conference Hall. Both programs will feature departmental introductions, as well as information on faculty and university facilities and student rights.
The same day, at 4:00 p.m., a Radio Uni 14 Visit will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Prof. Fuat Sezgin Library. Students will learn about the university radio's operations, observe the broadcast process briefly, and participate in a Q&A session.
On Friday, October 3rd, at 11:00 a.m., a Meet and Greet in Nature event will take place in the Campus Forest, where students will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members and peers in front of the faculty, enjoying a friendly, outdoor atmosphere.
On the same day at 2:00 PM, the Visual Communication Design Department Orientation will take place in the First Floor Conference Hall. This session will also feature an introduction to the department and information on the opportunities offered by our faculty and student rights.
This program, prepared by our faculty to welcome new students, is not only a series of informative events but also a series of meetings aimed at fostering camaraderie and strengthening faculty spirit. We invite all our students to this grand orientation celebration and wish them success and a productive new academic year.
