The Great Victory of August 30, 1922, which was won through the determination and faith of our nation against imperialism and which engraved Turkish independence and freedom in golden letters in history, was achieved through the faith and sacrifice of our ancestors and the blessed blood of our martyrs.
This epic victory, a turning point in our War of Independence, was recorded in history as the "Commander-in-Chief's Field Battle" at the Battle of Dumlupınar, Kütahya, under the personal command and leadership of Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha.
We bow with gratitude and appreciation before the memory of our cherished martyrs and commemorate our heroic veterans with mercy and respect.
May our crescent-star flag wave forever, may our calls to prayer echo in our heavens until the Day of Judgment…
